Holder didn't say ALL criticism against him was racist, he said that there was a small and extreme segment attacking him to get at Obama that was motivated by racism.
I think his observation is real. It doesn't mean he's exempt from scrutiny nor does it assert that all criticism is driven by racism.
For Holder to bring it up certainly exposes the personal the pressure he's under.
