I think his observation is real. It doesn't mean he's exempt from scrutiny nor does it assert that all criticism is driven by racism.

I'll ask just for the sake of asking. Do you (or Holder) have ANY EVIDENCE whatsoever, that extremist critics are motivated by racism?
I doubt anyone in the country detests Obama more than I do. I think his policies are hurting the nation (even Obama admitted the nation is worse off now than we were 3 years ago), and on top of that, I think he's an elitist jerk (he said the Cambridge cops acted stupidly, and when that got bad press, he claimed that we mistakenly took his comment as derogatory, as if the word "stupidly" can be taken any other way). You see, I can back up my opinions with facts.
My criticism of him is as extreme as it gets. I don't think a paid Al Queda plant could be doing more long-term harm to the country. And there's not a racist bone in my body.
If you're going to accuse somebody of racism, have some evidence.
