Hi Bliz, I would highly recommend getting top of the line tools for turning.
I have a Sorby 1/8" parting tool and a 1" skew and a 3/4" roughing gouge made by Record Power. Both companies are from Sheffield England.
They use a much higher quality steel, which will hold a better edge.
Sharp tools are key.
The above 3 tools will run you around $100.00
