I don't know if it changed since I got it done but the lasik only helped with seeing well FAR. It did not affect close up (according to my Doctor). I had it done ten years ago and my near sight was good back then (before and after the procedure) and remained good for the last ten years. Am only now starting to use reading glasses. For me, it was nothing short of a miracle.
