That whole part of RI is at a higher elevation. That's why they get more snow or actually snow when many places get rain. You could be at 600 feet in burrillville and be in a deep hole in the ground relative to your surroundings.

But if you are on a hill relative to the surroundings , you got the same problem I have with windy days.
