Upon notification by the RN, LPN or CRNP, the person in charge or the designated agent shall assume the responsibility and have the legal obligation to report or cause a report to be made in accordance with subsections (a), (c) and (d).

JoePa reported it to the school, and his superiors. At that point he had done what the law required, and was legally absolved of it. The
school didn't follow through with it, and let him be the goat.
Now, MORALLY, the proper thing to do is to go right to the police. Of course. I don't agree with the fact that he didn't go to the police, but he did follow the law to the letter. Saying he did nothing is just incorrect.
