Glad you like the reel John. Its my favorite and I have the Mag Elites and a Morrum and still prefer the BG6500. I'm anxious to try a BG7000CL on my 1089 at the Canal for the added 50 lb Spectron capacity. I would call the entire BG series "New England" type reels. Best of luck with yours.
