I my sound like a broken record, but......I was in for a new rod this spring. Originally, I wanted something to replace my chunking stick.

I went and visited Mike. I went in with the intention of buying the Sealine 10'.....he put that and two other rods in my hands....the 10' Tica fast action, and a 11' Tsunami......I hemmed and hawed over all three for awhile, and walked out with the Tica for $64 with tax, after the SB discount.

Glad I did.....as I said, I bought it with the intention of it being a chunking stick.....which I've used it for with great results, with as much as 6 oz of lead and two chunks on a hi-lo rig.....but I also find that more and more, I use it for plugging and jiggin, too......thrown everything from 4" Storm shads, to 5 oz jigs and rubber, to needlefish, swimmers, and poppers, all with good success. It is rated for 2-8 oz.....

Have yet to throw eels with it, but I have no doubt it would suit that purpose just fine as well. And it's lighter than the Daiwa, and has cork grips as opposed to the foam.

M&D's shouldn't be more than 1/2 an hour or so down 195 from Providence/Cranston
