I was fortunate to have fished with him twice ... he was always on his game, cool yet super focused ... the first time the weather was certainly curbing our original plans ... we did a variety of things, but what struck me mostly was that he was always taking advantage of whatever the situation called for ... the fishing was good too ... the second time the weather was great and we fly fished behind the shrimp boats for black tuna, moved on when the little tunny moved in, and then worked a few wrecks for cobia on fly ... his energy and ability to ensure each situation was the best it possibly could be was uncanny.

He seemed to be a guy who lived his life as he wanted ... to it's fullest. A great person to emulate.

He also was always willing to help out on anything that most people requested ... many of the posts you see on Facebook from people who knew him in Florida, he was always lending a hand. A true loss.
