He must be mistaken, the warranty package Suzuki is offering now is a 6-year deal. The first 3 is standard, the second 3 is the extended warranty.

I had heard Suzuki was elimating their entire lineup of 2-strokes and going strictly 4-strokes from here on out. Maybe they are offering a special deal of 7-yrs to move the 2-strokes out?

I can't comment on the 2-strokes, but the new DF-140 is probably the most trouble free motor introduced recently, I see very few problems listed at all......I'm approaching 300hrs on mine with no problems at all...runs like new. The all new 200, 225, and 250 4-strokes will be out soon.....
