I have been dooing the same thing with no problems so far but I was stopped by Newport police last Monday and was told that they can tow your car if you don't have a permit ether out of the park or on the sticker parking only streets. They did say that with the sighn that they would only tow if there have been problems at that location withch in Newport in the summer is a posibility. Note about the permit it is avalible for anyone with $10 you do not need to live in Newport or even RI.
