I had one about 28# the other night and it took a good 10 minutes moving here back and forth before she could swim on her own. I hate to think of one going belly up after reviving but I'm sure it happens.

This fish was brought in through a nasty boulder field and got pretty banged up along the way. My leader and first few feet of braid were all chaffed up. I spent a while on her but every time I let go, she rolled over and gave up. As I intened on letting her go from the start, I never took her out of the water for weight or measuremnet until I knew it was a lost cause.
