who was there first? you or the pudding head?

how did that cost you a plug? if you were throwing a pencil also, it would have followed a similar pattern.
we line up a lot closer and jig with no problems as long as everyone goes in order.

or are you just grumping

Andy, I told you before, the tide goes out and the current runs west for about 4 hours then turns east for another 2 hours so now it's on your left, but if you are smoking a cigarette, it depends on which way the wind is blowing and everyone knows that bass don't like secondhand smoke so make sure you face west or left depending on which side of the canal you are on(which is usually the opposite side the fish are on).
I was there first and I always pay attention to how others are fishing so as not to mess up their drift etc. particularly if they are there before me (plus I am always up for a potential learning opportunity). This was a little ludicrous the guy drifted in front of a large piece of man made structure I happened to be standing next to. He was 200 feet away from me and his plug drifted I would guess a hundred feet down from me. I lost the plug because in an effort to not lodge a
Hook into the guy that was Taking my line off his plug I let my line go slack. My plug got hung up in the weed.

I truly try and observe how others are doing it so as not to impede. If I show up and another is fishing where I want to be oh well I give us a pole length between just makes things easier when bringing in fish etc.

I also fish close quarters with people I know with no problems. I won't crowd people I don't know or ask them if they think they have enough room with me setting up in a given spot.
