Got on stand friday around 20 of 7am, and around 5 of 7 or so I could hear something walking towards the swamp, I couldn't see it though. Around 10 minutes or so later I let off some grunts, and then hit the rattle bag. About 5 minutes goes by and a nice 8pt comes walking up from the swamp, at first he looks like he is going to pass me on the left, but all of a sudden he stops and decides to cut across in front of me at about 26 yds. He gets behind some trees and I draw back, eventually he steps into the lane but at the same time turns directly away giving me a very small window, so I passed on shooting. I let the bow down and gave him a couple of bleats but he kept going, and then started snorting at me, so I hit the grunt tube again and he snorted some more, but he never came back. At around 830 4-5 does came by on my right side heading down to the swamp, but they were 70 +/- yards away so all I could do was watch them go, then off of my left side I heard something. Movement caught my eye and it was a spike with a big body, so I decided if I had the opportunity I would drop him for some meat. I hit the can a couple of times and started closer, then he caught the scent trail I laid down and he started to follow it. He went broadside at 30, and my arrow hit a limb about 15 yards from him and deflected, so needless to say he lives another day and trots off. Not even 5 minutes goes by and I hear something on my left again, and I see another deer about 80 + yards away and walking down towards the swamp. As soon as he crossed my scent trail he stopped, and he looked around for a bit. At this point he was about 30 yards, and very indecisive. Oh did I mention it was a 10pt. So now the blood is pumping and I am waiting for ever for him to move 10 minutes goes by and he decides to step back towards my trail and one of the shooting lanes, but he stops directly behind some trees so I can't see him and he can't see me. Another 5 minutes goes by and I hear him moving again but I can't see him, so I move my body enough to look around the trees and he is following the scent trail the opposite way. So I hit the can and he stops and turns , but won't commit to my direction. eventually he kept going away so I tried grunting, but all that did was push him out. I really wish I had a camcorder with me.
Been seeing deer every sit Nothing on the ground yet though
