Ton of fun as usual, although the fish were less cooperative! I went 1-4 on Saturday, lost one very large fresh chrome fish that threw the hook. GF went 1-6. Chartreuse SJWs and stones were the ticket that day.

I thought Sunday would be gangbusters with the low pressure system moving in, but the fish didn't agree!! That coupled with the fact that the flow was changed from 750 to 335 turned the fish right off. Didn't get a hookup all day, and saw very, very few fish caught. Oh well. Got to practice swinging flies with spey gear though- very relaxing, easier on the body, and I think I'll dedicate my next trip up to just swinging, laying off the indicators.

I hired a guide for this trip, because I was going with my GF. Paul Conklin- check out Paul's Guide Service. He was phenomenal- I learned an absolute ton about how to fish and read the river. He was also an excellent teacher with the spey rod. He does both fly and spin fishing trips, I'd recommend him to anyone who's making a first trip up there so they can lessen their learning curve.

I'll get photos when I unpack my camera, only have a couple, have to see how they turned out.
