Actually been going on for centuries. Adam Smith discussed currency devaluation extensively in
An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations in 1776. Just wish our "Leaders" would read and understand the rest of his teachings which are as relevant today as they were when they were written..
