I enjoyed the presentation despite having to leave after the first half. missed the slack tide debate and I think I am glad about that!

What folks seem to be missing about "slack" tide and currents is the fact that they are often affected by weather conditions, particularly wind. When I fish my mini-canal here in Glosta, if the tide is supposed to turn around at say, 6AM, but if the wind is howling up the canal it will add another 1/2 to 1 hour before the water slacks and then turns. This can be quite benificial to the fishing because the slack water can last longer and the bite can stay hot. Just my 2 cents....
