Any big bulky swimmers are good for skin plugs. You can buy eel skins at bait stores around the Canal. They are kind of a pain to rig but worth it. To rig take off the middle and tail hooks, the skin is rolled up the plug usually leaving some excess off the back of the plug. put hooks back on some guys leave the tail hook off and fasten skin with wire. Leave a hole in the tailso water can flow in. Once rigged and not used store in a zip-lock bag . These should be trolled very slowly just enough to get plug to swim. Bob towing it on your electric would work fine.
