The big tree that we took down from our front yard was a locust tree.
Hard wood, burned hot, and lasted for quite some time after it seasoned a year.
We still have a few logs rolling around our yard that are leftovers.
One is used as a chopping block.
The tree we took down was well over 50' tall, and at least 3' wide at the base, and solid all the way through.
