That looks like normal salt corrosion to me but there might be some minor electrical issues at work. Take off the connections (clean or replace) and clean the top of the take so it looks like it will make a good electrical connection. The reattach the connections and use either a dielectric grease on all the connections or a CRC spray that coats and protects the terminals from all the salt air/moisture. Should hold up for a while.
Electrolysis will eat away the molecular structure of the metal and it will break apart in your hands
I would replace those connections and do not use the cheap plastic crimp connectors, use a heat shrink marine ones and make sure you get a good seal.
