Just got back from Sanibel last Wednesday. Went out last Monday with Eric Napier--my brother-in-law arranged the 1/2 day charter ($350). Eric was great--we didn't do anything fancy and caught a boat load of fish. He had a bobber and live shrimp with minimal weight. Caught mainly small stuff-- Lady fish, Small Jack, Some nice sea trout, and I caught a salt-water catfish which he handled carefully as I guess they can sting you pretty good. I inquired about Tarpon, he said that they come right into the waters we were fishing and it gets hot starting in the next couple weeks. We left from the launch that Fly Rod just mentioned which is right before the bridge to Sanibel. Eric was a good guy, low key and seemed to know his stuff. I'd recommend him. Here's his site:
