That's why you never see cod or fluke sushi or shasimi...simple freezing kills them, and a lot of fish have parasitic worms. I like to make shashimi with Scup, but always freeze them before serving raw, kills anything that might be there. Walleye, one of the best tasting freshwater fish have a lot of tapeworms....if you ever put them in a bag to take home, then dump the dead walleye in the sink...presto...lose your lunch right there. Just a fact of life.
