The thin taper is in front. The plug has a ton of displacement which holds it up in current / during retrieve. It's very strong, I can place it across my knee, pull from each end and try to snap it and it won't. My next needle mold will be in the Super strike neighborhood of profile diameters considering the strength of the material.
