bigfish I use cheap hf tools that don't hold an edge. I make it a point to sharpen them after every 4 or so plugs depending on wood hardness. that popper was from an old batch I did, and I really haven't had a problem since then with grain/chatter. I figured it was the wood I was using...Thanks for the help, I'm definitely gonna sharpen more often. It also happened on the peanut, though it's hard to tell from the picture
