Then cut your dowel to the desired length. I then drill about 11/4 from the end straight through. A little bigger then the size of your rope. From the top drill a hole twice the size of your rope in the center of he dowel. I use 40# to pull my rope through. Once through I burn the ends good and tack them down with one U nail. Apoxy.
