CPAC isn't the entire GOP, it's the hard-core right wing of the party. Just as not all Democrats agree with moveon,org or the Daily Kos, not all Republicans are as hard-line as what you see at CPAC.
Who will Trump be running against? Someone with broad populist appeal, like Liz Warren, Corey Booker, Bernie Sanders, or Senator Gillibrand?
CPAC isn't my cup of tea. But the left-wing equivalent looks like the 'Cantina Scene' from the original Star Wars movie.
