Thanks for the concern John, I am alive and well. Still kind of stunned. Even when they declared NC, OH, and FL for Trump, I still thought he had zero chance, because those were the easy ones that he had to win. Taking PA or Michigan, I thought, was far less likely.

I am extremely relieved that it wasn't her, I think she is truly vile. I am cautiously optimistic with him, but he is a bit of a kook, and a yuuuge narcissistic jerk. I'm kind of hoping he gets impeached over Trump University and Pence takes over.

I am struggling with some buyer's remorse. I hope he surrounds himself with experts with actual accomplishments in their fields, as opposed to academics who know only theory in those fields, and more importantly, he listens to them.

The Republicans have the presidency, the Senate, the House, and a huge majority of governorships and state legislatures. They better damn well do something with the power we have entrusted with them. If they spend the next 2 years dithering, they deserve to be banished.

If Trump can bring back any meaningful number of manufacturing jobs to the Rust Belt (he is considering a 0% corporate income tax rate for manufacturing companies, which is a bold idea), he will have a major feather in his cap. we have to do something for those people.

I also have one hope for cabinet - former Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal as Health & Human Services Secretary. Jindal is a true policy expert on the economics of healthcare, that is his mother's milk. He would be a great choice to help come up with something that hopefully makes Obamacare more affordable. But I presume he despises Trump, as Jindal is a very decent guy (I think).

I also really, really wish Condaleeza Rice would come back to public service, her country really needs her.
