To get 10 or twenty feet extra on an eel cast....buy bigger eels.

I like 35 lb Spectron on an abu 6500 reel for eeling . The mag control on a Mag Elite does give you a little extra cushion for error casting them into the wind.

I use a 30 LB Ande leader with the 35 lb Spectron. A good long one.
