The Bite is on!!!!
Well hello all,
We had a great week last week down on the south side of the Cape, we caught well over 100 Bluefish in 3 days and it was a blast, on one evening Bill and I alone caught 60 blues between 6 & 10 lbs in 2 1/2 hours. It was a total rush when they would just come at you all the way to your chest wanting that top water lure. We caugth all of them on Roberts Rangers, you just can't beat them for bluefish.
The bass have invaded the cape as well, with schoolies everywhere and some nice keeper bass being caught.
Boston Harbor is picking up the pace with Bass inside the harbor feeding on the surface and hitting jiggs on wire. Outside the harbor is a ton of mackerel and the big bass are starting to show and chow down on the big bait. If you want to get out there and get a nice fat bass on some live bait now is the time.
There are also rumor of pogies near by as well so if this is any indication on how the season may go it is looking like one of the best in a long time.
