I've heard the slim beauty is a very good knot, but I've not used it. Although I just dropped a 150 lb+ tuna it was not due to the knot.

I, at Eric Stewart's (The Hook Up) recommendation have used a double albright and the knot has never failed on me. Rather than making just one set of wraps (from the tag end back toward the running line), make 6 or 7 wraps from the running line out toward the tag, then make the same number of wraps back the other way, feed the line through the loop formed in the leader, wet, and pull tight.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.
