well ya find yer control panel
then you look for device manager
might be in system
then proceed to audio to see if your device is listed in there
run a check on drivers (set of instructions)
see if they are up to date
in some operating systems SKIP
you have to delete the offending device completely
as it is HARDWARE (a sound card)
and then let it be re-discovered when you re boot
(since it's hardware)
then allow it to reload the drivers
then it should work in most scenarios
