There is a good article in todays Wall Street Journal about this. The paper states that Verizon will use the existing co-axle in the house, instead of running fiber in the house , to reduce cost by as much as $ 80.00 per houseoke: , and they go on to state that it wont really reduce the speed....yeah right....the re-use of the co-axle cable is B.S, as they are now taking away work from their work force. Verizon better get going, with AT&T's new aquisition of SBC. I thinks real soon you will see Verizon buying the local cable companies around here, like comcast, and adelphia, befor AT&T does, but that remains to be seen
