WW - usually use a 9' Batson 1088 or 1089 for eeling and occasionally a XRA1205. I go to the 1205 or 1089 when I feel the need for a little more backbone. Sometimes, the stiffer blanks can lead to lip rippin on the eels depending on how you hook them.
I have not yet tried the AllStar that Saltheart mentions but a few people that fish them love them... I would be very curious how well it tosses an eel on the souped up MagE...
