Redoing older rods is a fine way to keep cold winters busy.

It takes allot more time and effort to redo an old rod. But if you are doing it just for you and time doesn't matter then go for it.

When I started building my own rods that is exactly what I did before starting from scratch. Stripped down allot of my older rods and rewrapped the guides.
