Rotary ( Winni ) derby 2013

will most be remembered for the blizzard of 2013... we fished all 3 days...fishing was pretty good.. especialy with the approaching low Friday and during the storm on Saturday.. Sunday was a blue bird day 30" of snow made getting around tough even on snow shoes.. but as usual we had fun... the high pressure turned off the fish on Sunday, except for a big pickeral that my long time friend Dan got.. and a few large white perch that graced my dinner table..we put Rainbows ( not me.. I'm a better guide these days) of 1.97 ( Night shift) 2.35 ( Dan) on the board Saturday and on Sunday a 2.24lb rainbow by the youngest member 15 year old Steve, the grand son of another life long friend.. a word about the youngster.. he fished with seasoned vetrans in the worse conditions possible. and never shirked a task and never did anything but smile..... these pictures curtosey of Night shift.. my camera froze and refused to work.. all the fish finished out of the money by fractions of a lb...

A good run is better than a bad stand!
