I agree with you, but this is about more than Bashir. He was not disciplined. Neither MSNBC nor NBC, as far as I know, has made any statement denouncing what Bashir said. There is only one way to interpret that, and that is that NBC isn't concerned with what he said. So NBC is tacitly coimplicit in this, if not explicitly complicit. NBC is a major, mainstream network. They paid this guy to make that statement.
