Numbers-wise (number of seats held in DC, number of state governments controlled), the GOP is FAR better off right now than they were in January of 2009, also far better off than the dems were in January 2017.

But this post-Trump apocalyptic universe feels different. All the democrats need to do is (1) end the filibuster, and (2) make the illegals citizens, and then we won't see a Republican president for 35 years, because that makes TX blue and then there's no conceivable electoral path for a Republican. I don't know why they wouldn't do it, and the only thing stopping them, I guess, is Joe Manchin. I never worried for a second that Obama would go that far, but I can't see them not doing that now...

Time to position yourself to benefit from the policies that are coming...
