We usually only fish when we're on the way to and from Catalina. We fish off the back of a sailboat.
I've been thinking about trying to do a bit of fishing up at lake arrowhead but i've never really gotten around to it.
I fished off chatham for most of my life so once you get that spoiled its hard to be motivated to try fishing around SoCal...
