last night I finally had some of the Lagunitas Sucks on tap at Buskers Pub in Newport. Better than I imagined. As my son and I were at the bar we met Chris Marzi who is a Lagunitas New England rep, and Dave Cummings a RI distributer for Lagunitas. We had a great conversation about the beer and distribution system and the impact of craft brewers on the beer market. Very enlightening. The Sucks will now be year round but not always in six packs - after the winter run it will be bottled the rest of the year in containers a little bigger than bombers - I think he said 32 ounce. Lagunitas has a second brewery coming on line in Chicago in the next few months that will really help distribution here in NE.

Afterwards Chris set us up with some Lagunitas schwag - beanie cap, key chain, some beer glasses, AND then picked up our tab!

Anyway, if you're in Newport and want to try some Lagunitas they have the IPA, Pils, Sucks, and very potent (13 % ABV) Cappucino Stout at Buskers - I don't think it will last long.
