Its very hard to wrap the cord tight. Its like a tug of war. Finishing the ends is hard because you wrap the cord so tight its hard to pull the tag end under. Getting the right stuff for the particular rod you are doing is not easy. Some rod blanks are thin and some fat. The right cord varies. Tarred Seine Twine is good but hard to find locally. You need to maiol order it. There are nylon and polypropylene cords that are good if you can get the right size and colors.

In general itsa way harder than cork tape , EVA or shrink wrap. Your hands get all pinched , etc as you have to pull it as tight as you can. I think the best thing to jelp hold in place is double sided tape. Some people use spray on adhesive. Double sided waterproof carpet tape for the Skishers.

Anyway , not easy to do it right. I do it but only on special request at an extra charge.
