Don't know if you guys ever read the "Ask the Maester" article that grantland.com puts up every Tuesday during the Thrones season. I am a dedicated show watcher and have not read the books. The article is written by a guy that has read everything in print and he fills in a lot of the history and back story without any spoilers for the show watchers. Lets the show watchers take a deep dive dork out and understand alot of the stuff the show sort of breezes over.
Hardhome was excellent and next week is episode 9 which has been Ned Head, Blackwater, Red Wedding, and Red Viper Lasagna in the last 4 seasons if memory serves me correctly. Looking forward to being terrified/exhilarated.
