not taking Spence's side here, but Earned Stripes made a good point (That I had to think about to agree with).
I just searched Elliot Spitzer on Fox news; no mention oh him being a 'D' or an 'R' on anything they had, so I guess I'd agree that is standard not to put a Governor affiliation there...
