This is a Senate hearing, it is not a court of law.
Just like indictment vs impeachment are different so is the confirmation of a citizen to the Supreme Court.
Due process doesn't apply.
Is it political, absolutely and it always has been.
Is it dirtier than it used to be or just more public?
