I do not know what bothers me more. First you would have thought that a scant check would have disclosed the potential for conflict and she would have been sent off to another committee. It is surprising that the party leadership knowing the potential problem would give her such a role. The thing that scares me more is that they were aware and both the party leadership and the Senator just did not care.
