Hunting Maine
Arrived in camp last Sunday as it began to rain. It rained on Monday and turned to freezing rain late in the afternoon. Between seven hunters four does were seen. One of my friends had a Doe approx. 35 yards away and out of the corner of his eye he saw movement which happen to be a coyote,he oppted for the coyote and watched the Doe go on her way. The coyote was given to trapper that we know. With 5 doe permits in camp we decided not to shoot Does the first week. The weather was bassically in our favor most of the week. Several does were seen and a couple of Bucks. Those that seen the Bucks couldn't get a good shot.
Maybe we will have better luck putting meat on the game pole next week.
