Also heading down friday with my brother at around noon. We're both toying with the idea of buying a boat together, probably a 19-22 ft center console. Done alot of research, just need to see some of these boats first hand and ask some questions.

It looks as thought I'll be going solo on Saturday morning. I'll be the one by the Parker's drooling! If you see someone sobbing in the corner stop by and say something encouraging. It's just me.

Should be there on Saturday afternoon with my wife, I'll probably be hanging at the Scout Booth with Scott and Jason from Viking Marine. Stop in and say hello...

I can't make it (working all weekend) but GB check e-bay before you go. I got a killer deal on my 2010C off there about two years ago, when they first came out.

GBOUTDOORS, You might want to look into Garmin's newly released GPS172ic Color Chartplotter. Only slightly smaller than the 182c (4.7" vs. the 182's 5" screen) but just a little higher screen resolution. Best of all, it can be had for well under $700.00
I've seen them for around $650.00 to $660.00

When your checking for chart plotters, go to Spicer's Marina booth. They should be there, usually are.
He beats my electronics pricing almost everytime.
Also, if you want to take a chance, go back to him on Sunday. He usually gives the stuff away at just over cost, so he doesn't have to pack it all up and bring it back to Noank, CT. If you ever spend 4-5 days setting up, sitting at a show and another day putting it all away, you'd give the stuff away too. The only thing is you have to be there when he's ready to unload, otherwise someone else gets it!!
Anyway, Spicer's is good people. He's also a direct distributor and gets the stuff at less than OEM prices!!
If you want, you can e-mail me his price, but I probably will not be able to beat it. Have fun.
Pete
P.S. Does everyone know that we have another show in March???? It is a salt water fishermen show, sponsered by the Rhode Island Salt Water Anglers. If at all interested, let me know, I'll post their website addy for the show. AFTER I GET CLEARANCE TO DO SO!!!

Went yesterday. Nice stuff. those big Parkers are nice units. The 27 ft. May Craft WA is a floating dance hall.

I picked up an etackle boga substitute for $35, with a 50lb. scale. It can't be worse than Berkeley's!

'Sorry I missed you, 179.

I spent most of my time shooing my grandsons out of every little nook and cranny in the place.

Bob,
No problem it was a busy day there on Sat, we had 6 members of tht.com at the Scout booth at one point. I stayed until about 3:00 then had to shoot home to show my boat to a THT member from Maine who quickly put a deposit on it ....

So for now I am boatless

Went and saw how the 24 Silverhawk, 236 Sailfish, and the Unclassic 23 Seacraft are all REAL expensive and showed the wife what a great deal I have

John,
That Silverhawk was sweet as was the SeaCraft, I wasn't too impressed with the Sailfish, alot of corners cut on that one....

I liked the 28' hydrasports...they re-designed the previous(somewhat ugly) dash and added a bunch of nice goodies.
Still no regulators...just a guy handing out brochures.
contender? nada
Did you see the 25' quonset? the jetdrive CC ( I think it was a deisel. I saw that on a TV show a few months back. I think they have a good idea but IMO they have a lot of features they NEED to put into that boat before they will get the fisherman interested, it is a pretty stripped boat.

I picked up the brochure on the 26' cape cod. They did not have a boat there either but I need to make a trip over to their yard on the cape and check it out. 26' CC yanmar deisel. Looks pretty nice and comes with some stuff but could use a better leaning post a la regulator tackle locker. (IMO that cooler in under the post is getting old, esp whe you have a fish storage locker built in...they need to make better use of that space.) What is great about that rig is the performance....500mi range on a 160 gal of fuel ...with the 440 yanmar the cruise speed is 36kn. Not to mention that yanmar will outlast any outboard by a factor of 3-5 easy.

The best boat I saw (while not a strict fishing machine) was the new compton 33. Without a doubt that is the best layout in a 33'er I have ever seen (for a crusier). It has not hit the water yet but so far...really well done (and not an insane sticker price either)

seacraft...same ol same ol....they need a 28 footer with better features...regulator is going to crush them. The 31 has an awesome ride but is too narrow and has a poor layout design...IMO it looks like a geosim of a 23. (stretched) The 23 is good but they haven't done much with it..(its good but far from perfect). There is so much more to choose from these days in a CC...seems everone has one. The 24 or 27 whaler looks nice but a little pricey, great rep though. How about those gradys...with the twin Yamaha 300s

Got to meet Gene Borque and tell him how much I enjoyed the mag and his recent book and extended my otw sub got a free hat

picked up a stainless steel hook remover for 16 bucks...should last longer the my previous (non-stainless) one that rusted out in a season.

sat was cold eh?
