Better fishing near bonnet shores or quonset point???
Im moving out the ex gf's house at the end of the month. I have the house search down to a 3 bed, finished basement, small porch house with no view in bonnet shores narragansett that is about two blocks to the water for 1200.The other house is a 2-3 bed , hardwoods, fire place, enclosed sun porch, cement patio, unfinished basement, and a garage that is right on the water, could spit in the water from the patio for 1350, its near quonset point in shore acres north kingstown can see both bridges, nice view. Is the fishing near quonset any good from shore? Gotta figure it out by tomorrow morning at the latest! What do you guys think??

Take the Bonnet house - you'll have quasi-private access to very good ocean fishing with a much better chance at a trophy.
Watch out for all the surfrats who will want to be your new best buddy after they hear of this.

Also, you'll be closer to many other surfcasting spots if you take the bonnett house... Quansett point has some good fishing, but you need a boat to get to the action...

I was leaning torwards bonnet, but this place was only 15-20 min from bonnet, and it had a sick ass view, right on the beach and had enclosed sunporch and a fireplace for only $150 more! So i can catch bass down the street at the water if i decide on bonnet shores??

Yup... I forgot to chime in before, but I'd be happy to show you some spots etc later in the year, have had some spring luck near bonnet in the past..... Do you go to URI? or just live in the area?

I live near rochs produce on bostonneck right now. I never fished bonnet before, mostly fished from the coast guard house to point judith last year. I just moved over this way from newport a year ago, i work at oceancliff in newport in the summer, its sweet there i work in the outside kitchen and have a view of the sunsets and newport bridge all day everyday. Get to watch all the blitzing fish while im cranking out a 150 + covers. Thanks rockhound i would appreciate anything you could show me.

I know some guys who pelted the viking queen with waterballons back when I was a kid.. maybe late 80's..... they hooked up a waterbaloon slingshot to Ida Lewis YC's window frame and let fly...
Hound you remember that???
Wasn't me.. honest

Yeah the grace is the grace...
The Wooie.. you mean the loadest sail boat in the world? Doesnt go out often enough to worry about....
I dont need much room, I can stop the VQ inside a boatlength or so depending on current and wind, shes got decent power...

The Quonest house sounds nicer but you might meet some URI cuties in Bonnet.

Go with bonnet-I lived on Canopus ave for three years as a kid-good acces to the surf, and good LMB fishing on the two ponds behind the beach club-I saw a bluefish blitz at the rock beaches by the boat ramp that was wicked-big blues till my arms ached
