Any good fishing shows around?
Am sick of going to all these sportsman shows that suck. Is there any shows out there that are dedicated to Saltwater Fishing.

Welcome Reel Chitty!
Coming up March 27th and 28th is the Mass Striped Bass Association Annual Sport Fishing Expo at the Independence Mall in Kingston Mass. All fishing, all the time at this show. No hunting crap (no disrespect to hunting and those who do it intended) but this is a strict fishing only show! Check the MSBA website for details at MSBA.net. Don't miss this show RC if fishing is your game you will have only yourself to blame.....if you miss this show!
I promise it will be worth the trip out from Holyoke!

In my opinion, the very best striped-bass/surfcasting/East coast saltwater angling show, period. Very conveniently located in a shopping mall (food court, restrooms, parking, shopping for the significant other, etc.)

MSBA Show...time tested...fisherman approved! Thanks for the positive words FWW! We at MSBA work hard to make sure our show is and remains the best! I can't wait to check out the RISAA show though, you can't have too much of a good thing! Johnny The Ratt Boy...I better see your tail at MSBA show! You hurt my feelings!

Hi BigFish, I wasn't disrespecting MSBA, I'm hoping to participate myself this year. I hear many many good things about that show. I agree the boating/hunting/cooking/sporting shows are a pain for fishermen/women. I'm just getting fair air.
Keep up the good work at MSBA

The RISAA show will have a tough act to follow if it will compare to the MSBA show. The MSBA show has been running for years and I've gone to it for the last 7 or so. We'll see how the RISAA show is but the MSBA show is still tops in my opinion...
I can say that as having been personally involved in the MSBA show for a couple years in the 90s.
The great thing is the MSBA show (and I'm assuming the RISAA show too) is a pure fishing show - none of the other crap so prevelant in the other regional shows (like Wocester, et al)

I've been to fishing shows all over the northeast. I haven't found one yet that compares to the MSBA show. I drive 300 miles to go to it.

I agree with Mike . Ive been to most in the northeast and nothing compares to msba's show ! I dont drive 300 miles more like 175 and have been going for 3 years . now the rissa show is going to have to be spectacular ( and I hope it is ! ) to come close to mass bass . I know them RI people can do it . Ill be there for sure .
Im looking forward to the 2 shows Ill be going to this year ( and spend money at ) . although if I really get bored there is always hartford x2 , big e , woostah and 2 ny shows .

This is the first year RISAA is going large (with the venue), so I wouldn't expect them to top MSBA ,since MSBA has been at it for how long now?,but they're starting out right and in years to come i'm sure it will continue to grow.Looking forward to it johnny "tRB"

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Youz guyz are bringing tears to my eyes. Having been on the MSBA Show committee for 7 years and Chair for the last 3 (4 this year) it is nice to hear the compliments. A whole lot of people work their buttses off to make the MSBA Show what it is. A gathering of the Salt Water fishig community. Oh yeah, there is a pretty neat Fishing Show too. For those who do not know about the MSBA Show...
Here are the top 10 reasons the MSBA Show is considered tops in a lot of fishermen's minds.
10...2004 will make 54 years of the MSBA Sportfishing Expo
9...You will never, ever pay for Parking at the MSBA Sport fishing Expo
8...The only Show still affordable enough to bring your kids. Only $8 at the door for Adults (before the $1 off coupons that are everywhere) and an unbeleivable $3, yes $3 for children under 12. Spend your money inside, not at the door.
7...The only fishing show still attended by the Martha's Vineyard Striped Bass & Bluefish Derby (According to the Derby committee chair)
6...MSBA is the only show Hatteras Jack Outfitters from the
Outer Banks attends in the North East...Hard to Find Tricked Out International Abus anyone
5...Factory Reps from Aquaskinz, Abu Garcia, Lamiglass, Breakaway, Gibbs, Penn, Yo Zuri, Eagle Claw,Gags, 9er's, etc.
4...2004 Seminars...Dave "Bassmaster" Manzi, "Crazy" Alberto Knie, Paul "The Extreme Surfcaster" Melnyk, and Mike "New DVD" Laptew... ALL SPEAKING ON BOTH DAYZE
3...The only place, never mind show that has ever had both Charlie Cinto, Tony Stetsko and both their 73 pound Stripers...yes, we introduced the two legends
2...All Salt Water Fishing All the Time...No marinades , No dishes, Nothing But Fishes
And the Number One reason the MSBA Sportfishing EXPO is considered tops in many fishermens minds............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............
1...The MSBA EXPO is not only the Official Anniversary of, but is the actual BirthPlace of
WWW.STRIPED-BASS.COM
See you there...say Hello...I'm the loud one with the Bullhorn

Basic Patrick,
Did you get my PM about the possibility of presenting "The Snowstorm Blitz" at your show. If not please contact me about our earlier conversation.
Thanks

I hope Dennis does do his "Snowstorm Blitz" presentation at the MSBA show - it's pretty impressive as the guys who were at the last NCSWFC meeting will tell ya.
Any of you who didn't get a chance to see it oughta try to catch it at Mass Bass. I had already read the rough draft of the written version (which is excellent), saw the show at the last meeting and wouldn't mind catching it again.
