The New York Federation 22nd Annual Sport fishing Forum and Auction will be held at the Freeport Recreational center February 13th, 14th, and 15th. There will be 25 seminars that all can learn from. I will be lecturing on Saturday from 10am-10:55am - Targeting Spring Stripers will be the subject. I am going to mix it up a little from last year and the focus will be light tackling the back bays. Water temps, and finesse baits like, teasers, fin-s, slug-so, curly tails, and small tins will be addressed. What type of structure to look for in the back bays, how to fish it, and where to look will also be addressed. On Sunday from 11am – 11:55 am I will lecture on Plugging the Surf. Last year I went over various plugs and how to use them. This year the concentration will be plugging big surf conditions such as big white Montauk water. I only have an hour for each lecture which isn’t a heck of a lot of time, but maybe I’ll able to get it all in this year. DIRECTIONS- From the Southern State- take the Meadowbrook Pkwy South to Merrick Rd west. The rec center is about ¼ mile down on left hand side. See ya there!
