time reset?

hello,
im hopeing someone could advise me as to why i have to reset the clock every time i restart the computer.
is there a battery in there somewhere that is used to keep the clock set to the correct time when it is shut down?
thans to anyone whom may be able to advise me as how to fix this thing?

Yes, there is a battery located on the motherboard called the CMOS battery. You can replace it yourself. This link explainsit pretty well.
